“Tell me, and I will forget. Show me, and I may remember. Involve me, and I will understand.”

What is Role-play?
Role-play is an experiential learning process that simulates real-life situations in a safe environment. It develops people’s control over how they are perceived by clients and colleagues and their ability to ‘sell’ themselves and their company.
How can we impact on your business?
Our scenario-based experiences develop people’s awareness and facility in the following areas:
· Having impact
· Building relationships
· Listening and responding
· Highlighting and understanding behaviours
· Developing a balanced perspective
These feed the individual’s confidence, assertiveness and skills in interaction, thus enhancing performance in:
· Client meetings
· Customer service
· Team activities
· Managing others
· Networking
· Communicating on the telephone
· Interviews
· Negotiation
Who's it for?
The real power of role-play is that it catalyses change in attitude and behaviour through raising awareness of one’s own and others’ behaviour.
It is particularly effective in situations where individual coaching is unfeasible or inappropriate; for example, where large numbers of people are involved, or where there is a specific requirement to bond teams or establish a shared perspective around a given situation.
How do we work?
Our approach is rooted in helping high-level business people work through complex situations by providing challenging simulations and incisive, sensitive feedback.
Each project is entirely bespoke to the client so as to meet clearly defined aims and objectives. We work with real life situations and material from the work place, rather than demonstrating unrealistic scenarios.
What do we do?
We specialise in the application of role-play in three principal areas:
Development: uses role-play for learning through experience, through a process of application, feedback,
re-application.
Key elements:
- Specifically designed scenarios
- Continuity
- Consistency for all participants
- Constructive and incisive feedback
- Developmental workshops
Assessment: uses role-play for assessment or examination.
Key elements:
- Accurate casting
- Consistency for all participants
- Objectivity in response
- Providing the right steers and opportunities
Animation: uses elements of live theatre for animating ‘hot topics’. The benefits can range from provoking
response and engaging attitudes to providing entertainment and interaction. It can be used in a wide variety of formats, including:
- Single issue training e.g. Health & Safety; Customer Service; skills training
- Awareness raising e.g. diversity; culture change; core values
- Problem solving workshops
- Development of self-presentation skills
- Conference animation
- Corporate training and messaging video
Who are our cast?
We only use experienced role-players (all experienced professional actors), scriptwriters and directors who are:
· Business aware with sector knowledge and wholly credible at all management levels
· Carefully selected and professionally trained
· Highly motivated, creative thinkers who are innovative in their approach
· Incisive, perceptive and constructive in their feedback with clear analysis
What do people say?
“Their insight into behaviours was invaluable when reviewing the situations and providing feedback to our leaders. A real learning experience, which we will use again.”
Bechtel Limited.
“We couldn’t do it so consistently in-house.”
BAE Systems.
“As well as the authenticity in the portrayal of the roles, the actors are far more adaptable than internal staff in switching between roles and in responding realistically to the various styles used by our managers.”
KPMG
